چکیده
This paper is a summary report based on the discussion of JCI-DFRCC committee. The paper attempts to summarize the terminologies related to DFRCCs and the structural advantages and application concepts of DFRCCs. The attempt is made for the purpose of further discussion at JCI International Workshop on Ductile Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composites -Application and Evaluationheld in 2002 at Takayama, Japan.

Simulation of Highly Ductile Fiber - Reinforced Cement - Based Composite Components Under Cyclic Loading
Ductile fiber-reinforced cement-based composites (DFRCCs) are being investigated for new design as well as retrofitting of structures in seismic regions. DFRCC is highly ductile and is characterized by strain-hardening in tension to strains over 3% and by unique cyclic loading behavior. To accurately predict the structural performance of DFRCC components under cyclic and seismic loading, a robu...
متن کاملA model for evaluating interface terminologies.
OBJECTIVE Evaluations of individual terminology systems should be driven in part by the intended usages of such systems. Clinical interface terminologies support interactions between healthcare providers and computer-based applications. They aid practitioners in converting clinical "free text" thoughts into the structured, formal data representations used internally by application programs. Int...
متن کاملIn defense of the Desiderata
A 1998 paper that delineated desirable characteristics, or desiderata for controlled medical terminologies attempted to summarize emerging consensus regarding structural issues of such terminologies. Among the Desiderata was a call for terminologies to be "concept oriented." Since then, research has trended toward the extension of terminologies into ontologies. A paper by Smith, entitled "From ...
متن کاملCategorizing the Relationships between Structurally Congruent Concepts from Pairs of Terminologies for Semantic Harmonization
In this paper, we are using "structurally congruent concepts" in pairs of terminologies to suggest methods for harmonizing the terminologies. Two concepts are structurally congruent if they are children of the same more general concept and parents of the same more specific concept in two different terminologies. We show that structurally congruent concepts can be interpreted in six useful ways,...
متن کاملResearch Paper: Using SNOMED CT to Represent Two Interface Terminologies
OBJECTIVE Interface terminologies are designed to support interactions between humans and structured medical information. In particular, many interface terminologies have been developed for structured computer based documentation systems. Experts and policy-makers have recommended that interface terminologies be mapped to reference terminologies. The goal of the current study was to evaluate ho...
